I’m back!
“Oh, where did you go?”
“I didn’t even notice you were gone…”
A week ago I came back from a short volunteer trip to Japan. Got to go back to the tsunami and earthquake affected areas and meet some people who still live in Temporary Housing. My team and I got to pass out some donated rice (more for moral support and not for actual need of food). It is crazy how widespread (physically, emotionally, and spiritually) natural disasters affect not only people but also communities, families, businesses, and country. And that’s just in Japan. One thing I learned was the sadness of being forgotten.
Was very much humbled and encouraged by the people there as well as made me think more and more what I can do to make a difference on this earth.
Now that I am back, will be posting more. Stay tuned!
